Dr Alessandro Demaio is a Medical Officer with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Founder of festival21 and from 2013 to 2015, was Global Health Fellow in NCDs at Harvard Medical School. In 2013, he co-founded NCDFREE, a worldwide social movement for Global Health – reaching more than 2.5 million people in its first 18 months. He also serves on the Advisory Board of EAT: the global, multistakeholder platform for food, health and environmental sustainability. Sandro is slow food obsessed, in a world of fast food.
